Liberal MSNBC host Ed Schultz said conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh should wrap his “fat ass” in the American flag for calling Wisconsin union bill protesters “freeloaders,” reports the Huffington Post.

“The conservative right in this country, they say you’re nothing but a bunch of freeloaders,” Schultz told to a crowd of booing protesters during a Saturday episode of “The Ed Show,” which was broadcast from Madison, Wisconsin in the heart of the protests.

“Maybe it’s understandable that a guy [Limbaugh] who tried to go to college and dropped out wouldn’t respect teachers,” Schultz said.

Schultz added that Limbaugh has been throwing police officers, teachers, firefighters, and many others under the bus by calling them freeloaders.

“If you want to follow the Limbaugh and the Becks of the world, and you want to turn your back on firefighters, you want to turn your back on police officers…you want to turn your back on brothers and sisters who have stood in solidarity to fight for the middle class in America, is that, is that, is that wrapping yourself in the flag?” Schultz said. “Hey Rush: why don’t you wrap your fat ass in the flag on Monday?”

At the beginning of the episode, Schultz disparaged Limbaugh for criticizing protesters when his personal salary is so high.

“Bottom feeders, freeloaders, those were words used today to describe our teachers, our nurses, and all these hard working people standing right here with me tonight,” Schultz said. “Ironic considering those words came from a guy making $50 million a year, yet Rush Limbaugh said today we are either on the side of the Wisconsin protesters or we are on the side of our country.”

Limbaugh wasn’t Schultz’s only target. During the same episode of his show, Schultz scolded Fox News’ Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, and Bill O’Reilly for their coverage of the Wisconsin protests.

“There’s one other person that we don’t want to let off the hook,” Schultz said. “Bill O’Reilly has done, you know, he’s got a big audience, no doubt about it. But Bill, Bill, you’ve always said that you’re looking out for these people.”

Schultz challenged O’Reilly to air “The O’Reilly Factor” from the Madison protest crowd as he was doing himself.

“Bill, Bring your show on out here and show these Americans, show that you care,” Schultz said. “You don’t have to be afraid, Bill, I walked through the crowd last night, you don’t have to worry about security. These are Americans, they love America, you don’t have to worry about them…Come on, Bill. Come on out and prove that you’re looking out for these folks. You won’t do it, will ya? I didn’t think so.”
