Responding to Japan’s magnitude 8.9 earthquake that devastated much of the northeast part of the country, actor Charlie Sheen instructed his masses of Twitter followers to love Japan “violently.”

Sheen tweeted Friday, “Curveball; Warlock edict; pain & devastation in Japan demands us all to dig deep & LOVE THEM VIOLENTLY Dogspeed my cadres of the Far East! c”

Other celebrities have jumped in and sent moral support to the earthquake victims as well, though in less colorful language than Sheen’s “winning” tweet. Singer Taylor Swift tweeted Friday, “I’m sending my thoughts and prayers and love to those in Japan who are hurting..” British television host Piers Morgan tweeted a warning early Friday morning, “Now looking like 5th worst quake ever. And aftershocks/tsunamis not over yet. #prayforthem.”

Sheen’s ex-wife, actress and model Denise Richards, expressed a similar sentiment via Twitter, tweeting, “Visit @redcross Safe&Well site http://t.co/jgwKcR8 to search 4 loved ones following #earthquake in Japan or register as safe. Please RT.”
