Before The Kids Are All Right star Julianne Moore landed the role of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin in HBO’s upcoming flick Game Change, the actress was going to play Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for one of the network’s other flicks.

Moore had signed on to portray the former first lady in The Special Relationship, which aired last spring and followed the close working relationship between President Clinton and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. Frequency actor Dennis Quaid was cast as Bill Clinton and About Schmidt star Hope Davis got the role of Clinton, but before Davis took over the part, Moore had been fitted for Clinton’s character’s outfits.

BlackBook Magazine recently came across a photograph of Moore dolled up as the former Democratic presidential candidate, but the Academy Award nominee dropped out because of scheduling conflicts with The Kids Are All Right filming.
