It looks like pop sensation Taylor Swift has made a swift move-on from former beau Jake Gyllenhaal. The 21-year-old singer, who just won the Academy of Country Music award for entertainer of the year, reportedly went on a date with Tron star Garrett Hedlund at the beginning of the month.
“It was their first time going out,” a source told Us Weekly of Swift’s meet-up with the 26-year-old On the Road blondie, who has been in Swift’s hometown of Nashville recording a CD.
“They’ve been emailing for a while, and she hinted they should get together,” the source said of Swift, who has been known to put herself out there and take relationship risks. “She has actually spent time getting to know Garrett… He’s cute — and he’s into country music! [She] likes that he’s a normal guy.”
Hedlund sprung onto the Hollywood scene in 2007, when he played the attractive but innocent Mormon teen enamored by Lindsay Lohan’s disturbed character in Georgia Rule.
Swift, whose short-lived romance with Gyllenhaal reportedly ended earlier this year, has a history of dating A-list celebrities who let her down, and she often writes songs about her dating disappointments. Aside from Hedlund, Swift was seen with Glee actor Chord Overstreet at an NFL hockey game in February. Gyllenhaal has remained in the tabloids for getting his flirt on and reportedly womanizing.
