How good was Monday night’s debate for Newt Gingrich? So good that he made a TV ad out of it.

Titled, “The Moment,” the ad begins with the narrator saying, “Only Newt Gingrich can beat Barack Obama.”

It then cuts to Gingrich saying “more Americans have been put on food stamps by Barack Obama than any president in American history.”

The ad, which will run in South Carolina, features some of Gingrich’s best moments from last night’s debate, and features lots of applause from the audience.

Transcript:

Narrator:

“Only Newt Gingrich can beat Obama” (Super: Who Can Beat Barack Obama?)

Newt Gingrich:

“…More people have been put on food stamps by Barack Obama than any President in history.”

Newt Gingrich:

“I believe every American of every background has been endowed by their Creator with the right to pursue happiness and if that makes liberals unhappy I’m going to continue to find ways to help poor people learn how to get a job…learn how to get a better job…and learn some day to own the job.”

(Standing ovation..sustained applause)

Newt Gingrich:

“I’m Newt Gingrich and I approve this message.”
