Sure, there’s no NFL team in Los Angeles, but Hollywood has a team to root for in the Super Bowl.
The New York Giants, who defeated the San Francisco 49ers 20-17 in overtime on Sunday to advance to the league’s Feb. 5 title game in Indianapolis, are co-owned by producer Steve Tisch, who won an Oscar for 1995 best-picture winner Forrest Gump.
Tisch also has produced such recent films as Seven Pounds, the remake of The Taking of Pelham 123 and The Back-up Plan, and he has Great Hope Springs, starring Meryl Streep, on tap for release this year.
