After John Travolta’s vintage Mercedes was stolen last year, law enforcement responded — in a huge way.

A task force including the Santa Monica and Los Angeles police departments, the California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department tracked down and arrested Michael Green and D.L. Rayford Jr. in the theft of Travolta’s 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL.

“Green has pleaded no contest to two counts of grand-theft auto and remains behind bars without bail. … Rayford Jr., meanwhile, pleaded no contest to one count and was sentenced to 16 months in jail and ordered to pay Travolta $50,000,” reported E! Online.

Travolta had parked the car on a residential street. The men were seen driving off in it on a surveillance tape.

Authorities say the robbery was part of a larger auto theft ring. All of the other cars taken by the ring were also found.
