Newt Gingrich is out with a 16-minute film about his life and career. This is needed. People think they know Gingrich — he has been a public figure for decades, now — but this film (especially the early parts) shows a personal side of Gingrich that has been largely ignored.
It’s all touching, but one wonders — is it too late? Why wasn’t this video put out months ago??
My favorite parts include Gingrich explaining how, as a boy, he would “make up very wild stories” to tell an older lady who gave him cookies and milk. It also highlights his desire to be a zookeeper as a child. But again — why are we just seeing this now?
