The Garden was hostile yesterday, but the root of Linsanity — Jeremy Lin — somehow still heard cheers and got a gigantic endorsement afterward from D’Antoni.
D’Antoni’s speedball offense is only as good as his point guard, and yesterday Lin was awful — the Sixers defense swallowing him up for Sunday brunch.
In his ugliest home performance, Lin committed six turnovers and shot 5-of-18 to score 14 points as the Atlantic Division-leading Sixers routed the Knicks, 106-94, in Madison Square Garden matinee.
