Obama’s illegal alien uncle back behind the wheel after drunk driving arrest

It just was not right that a president’s uncle could not drive.

Onyango Obama, President Barack Obama’s illegal alien uncle who was arrested in August for drunk driving, is back behind the wheel after losing his driver’s license last week.

Uncle Obama lost his license for 45 days Tuesday, but was able to obtain a hardship driver’s license from the Registry of Motor Vehicles — which allows him to drive from noon to midnight — a week later, The Boston Herald reports.

According to the RMV, “He met all of the criteria” to obtain a hardship license by proving that he would experience undue hardship, as the manager of a liquor store, if he wasn’t able to drive.  He provided the RMV with a letter from Conti Liquors and proof of his enrollment in an alcohol treatment program.

Uncle Obama’s lost license stems from his August arrest in Framingham, Mass. when he registered a 0.14 on a blood-alcohol test. The state limit is 0.08.

He copped a plea in court last Tuesday, admitting that there was enough evidence for a conviction without officially admitting guilt. If he stays out of trouble for a year his drunk driving charge will be dismissed.

Uncle Obama, a Kenyan national, has an immigration hearing this month to appeal a deportation order dating back to 1992. He matches the background of Uncle Omar in the president’s memoir “Dreams from My Father,” the Associated Press reported.

Uncle Obama is the half brother of President Obama’s father.
