We (almost) have our two presidential candidates locked in, so thankfully the sign-printers and t-shirt vendors can start preparing for the November clash between two macho politicos. But what of the potential first ladies?

In this new weekly series, The Daily Caller will rate the wardrobes of Ann Romney and Michelle Obama every Friday. And during the first week of November, TheDC will crown a White House wardrobe queen.

There can be only one. So let’s get started.

On May 2, Ann wore a chic black cardigan, white blouse, pearls and bright red nails as she introduced her husband at a campaign event in Chantilly, Va.

One day earlier, before at a campaign stop in Las Vegas, current first lady Michelle Obama showed off her toned arms in a simple black sheath with no accessories.

Subtle and simple all around, but we have to hand it to Ann this week for her sassy red nail polish and ruffled blouse.

Who would you declare the winner? Sound off in the comments below.
