Former NBA star/ “Celebrity Apprentice” contestant and current insane person Dennis Rodman is in North Korea filming an HBO docu-series, because why not?

According to the Associated Press, “The American known as ‘The Worm’ is set to arrive Tuesday in Pyongyang, becoming an unlikely ambassador for sports diplomacy at a time of heightened tensions between the U.S. and North Korea.”

Rodman is on the trip with VICE media company for the TV series that will air on the cable network in April. According to VICE founder Shane Smith, the company and former NBA great are there to form “basketball diplomacy” between our two nations.

“At a time when tensions between the two countries are running high, it’s important to keep lines of cultural communication open, no matter how non-traditional those channels may be,” Smith told the AP. “It’s important to show North Koreans that America is not their enemy, and playing a game we both love is a step in the right direction.”

Uhhh, ok.

But why not let Rodman explain his journey in his own words?
