With last night’s loss to Alabama A&M, the Grambling State basketball team became just the eighth team in NCAA history to finish a season completely defeated.

The Tigers 28th loss of the season came in the first round of the Southwestern Athletic Conference Tournament. Even with three SWAC teams banned from postseason play, Grambling State could not sneak out of the quarterfinals.

But wait!

Things might be looking up for Grambling State as the 59-51 loss was the first time this season that they lost by single digits. They even had a lead at halftime.

So there’s that.

On a 28-game slide after winning last year’s regular season finale, Grambling State will attempt to avoid Towson University’s recent NCAA Division-I record 41-game losing streak when they hit the court in 2013-14.
