Dennis Rodman returned to the People’s Republic of North Korea on Tuesday to hang out with his best friend forever and all-around “awesome guy” Kim Jong Un.

The former NBA pro and insane person first visited the oppressive wasteland back in February to promote basketball and make a movie.

Rodman told the Associated Press that he hoped to “show people around the world that we as Americans can actually get along with North Korea.”

Earlier this year, Rodman asked Kim to release American missionary Kenneth Bae who has been jailed there since November 2012, but Rodman isn’t too worried about that right now.

“I’m not there to be a diplomat. I’m there to go there and just have a good time, sit with [Kim] and his family, and that’s pretty much it,” Rodman said of his second visit.

Rodman has said that he wishes President Barack Obama would pick up the phone and call Kim, and that “basketball diplomacy” could really help ties between the United States and North Korea.

During his first trip, Rodman told Kim, “You have a friend for life!”

Perhaps Rodman is not aware that the whole “friends for life thing” may turn out to be a much shorter time frame than he realizes. Last week, Kim reportedly had one of his former girlfriends executed by firing squad for, he says, appearing in a pornographic movie.

Back in 2011, Rodman reportedly had an orgy with six women at a party in the Hamptons and broadcast the whole thing to everyone in attendance.
