Lamar Odom has checked into rehab, People reports. The NBA free agent and husband to reality star Khloe Kardashian Odom, has checked into a rehab facility for drug and alcohol abuse.
Odom, 32, was arrested last week on for driving under the influence in California. Sources close to him told People that Odom “realized he need[ed] help.”
The former L.A. Clippers forward has had problems with drug use in the past. In 2001, he violated NBA dug policies twice in eight months. In 2003, he admitted to marijuana use.
Reportedly, Odom has sought out the legal advice of Robert Shapiro — who represented O.J. Simpson in the past — on behalf of his upcoming DUI trial in September.
