A new book alleges that Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez didn’t just love hookers, he loved having more than one at a time. The book also details the way in which A-Rod was rude and disrespectful to employees at his Manhattan apartment.
Author Michael Gross collected stories from staff for his new book, “House of Outrageous Fortune: Fifteen Central Park West, The World’s Most Powerful Address,” the New York Daily News reports. One staffer said of the famous baseball star, “He got hookers all the time … One time he had two go up, they came down and left, and 10 minutes later, Cameron Diaz walks in. He doesn’t care. I hate the guy. He thought he was God.”
One tenant of the building calls A-Rod an “unfriendly narcissist,” while another staff member said, “He was a douche. No one liked him.”
A-Rod’s spokesman Ron Berkowitz said the claims are “defamatory.”
“The allegations concerning prostitutes are 100% false, and therefore the author of the book cannot possibly have a single shred of evidence to back them up,” he told the Post.
