Someone amended the St. Louis Cardinals’ Wikipedia page, describing the club as “a gay butt sex team based in St. Louis, Missouri, [that] compete in the National League Central Division of Major League Baseball.”
The sidebar widget on Google’s page pulls the first couple of lines from Wikipedia entry and displays it along with search results.
While the Wikipedia entry has been fixed, the Google sidebar result has not been updated. The fact that anyone can update or change entries in Wikipedia is a common complaint about the site.
The Cardinals and Boston Red Sox are currently tied 2-2 in the series. Let’s see how long it will take Google to fix their entry.
