This was the last movie ever rented at Blockbuster

After Blockbuster finally came to terms with the fact that consumers were moving onto younger, hotter movie-viewing tools like Netflix and Hulu, it announced it was closing its final 300 stores last week.

The final movie ever rented before the movie store closed was a poignant choice, if not exactly the best movie to rent unless you happened to be SUPER high, which may very well have been the case.

Variety reports that the James Franco/ Seth Rogen/ Jonah Hill ensemble comedy “This Is the End” was the final movie ever rented at the store you tried to rent rated-R movies at when you were a young heathen. (Author’s note: I watched this movie stone-cold sober and could barely finish it.)

Blockbuster tweeted out the profound moment with three dudes holding up the last Blockbuster movie ever, and appear that they definitely could have been stoned.
