The Department of Homeland Security employee who advocated for a race war against whites is still employed by the federal government, according to a Tuesday National Journal report.

In August, the Southern Poverty Law Center revealed that Ayo Kimathi, a Customs and Immigration Service acquisitions specialist, has been running a website called “War on the Horizon” aimed at preparing for the upcoming race war and mass murder of white people.

“Warfare is eminent,” the SPLC quoted the website, “and in order for Black people to survive the 21st century, we are going to have to kill a lot of whites — more than our Christian hearts can possibly count.”

SPLC further noted that a former supervisor said everyone in the in the office is afraid of Kimathi — who goes by “the Irritated Genie” online.

“To see the hate, to know that he is a federal employee, it bothered me,” the former supervisor told SPLC — which listed Kimathi’s enemies as “Rev. Al Sharpton, Lil Wayne, Oprah Winfrey, Whoopi Goldberg, Condoleezza Rice, Colin Powell, who he calls ‘Colon,’ and even President Obama, ‘a treasonous mulatto scum dweller … who will fight against reparations for Black people in amerikkka, but in favor of fag rights for freaks in amerikkka and Afrika.'”

Homeland Security placed Kimathi on administrative leave on August 23 pending a review. According to National Journal, he is still receiving pay — in 2012 he made $115,731.

Since Kimathi has been placed on administrative leave, the “War on the Horizon” website has continued to be updated, including a Nov. 1 post titled “Lincoln University Promoting ‘Homosexuality’ to Black Students.”

“ICE does not condone any type of hateful rhetoric or advocacy of violence of any kind against anyone,” ICE spokeswoman Gillian Christensen wrote in an emailed statement to The Daily Caller Tuesday.

“Every ICE employee is held to the highest standard of professional and ethical conduct. Accusations of misconduct are investigated thoroughly and if substantiated, appropriate action is taken,” she added.
