Apple plans to release an iPad with the largest screen yet in plenty time for Christmas — next year.
The Korea Times reported Tuesday a link in the Apple supply chain started manufacturing 12.9-inch Retina display screens – the largest yet by the California tech giant.
Picture quality is supposed to dramatically increase to ultra high-definition (UHD) technology, with a 3840 x 2160 resolution.
Neither a name nor other system specifications for the biggest iPad yet have been officially released by Apple, but PadNews has reported an expected release date of March 2014.
The new iPad will likely be Apple’s response to Samsung’s release of the 12.2-inch screen Galaxy tablet expected in coming months.
