Watch this ‘Wolverine’ phone heal itself

The LG G Flex is the first smart phone to patent mutant powers strong enough to make Hugh Jackman blush.

The indestructible hero has taken a pounding in five “X-Men” films while viewers watched his wounds fade away – now you can watch your phone do the same thing.

Bend, slash or scratch and the Flex heals itself and bounces back — literally. The curved Wolverine-style smart phone has a pressure-resistant malleable body with a casing that erases scratches.

Popular YouTube star Marquees Brownlee uploaded a video to his channel this week in which he subjected the phone casing to a barrage of key and knife attacks, all of which healed and became almost unnoticeable in a matter of minutes.

Brownlee also placed the curved phone on a level surface and flattened it completely without a snap, crack or break — it retained its curved shape immediately.

The screen will feature Organic Light Emitting Diodes (OLED), which are thin films of organic molecules that create light with the application of electricity. Screens using OLED technology are practically unbreakable and supposedly display the highest-quality image to date. Other manufactures including Apple are looking into using them over current conventional screens.

Little is known about the phone’s other specs, when it will be released in the U.S. or for what price, but leaks so far indicate service providers will include AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile according to knowyourmobile.com.

The LG G Flex goes on sale in Korea this month.
