Tryouts continue tonight as CNN tries to figure out just who among them will replace Piers Morgan in the 9 p.m. time slot. The known contestants include Bill Weir, Don Lemon, Michael Smerconish and Jake Tapper. It’s Tapper’s turn tonight.
At 4 p.m. he’ll host “The Lead” as usual. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is on the guest list. Then at 9 p.m. he’s back for another edition of “The Lead.”
So far, The Mirror would like to kick Weir (terrible!) and Smerconish (blech!) off the island.
Let’s see what Tapper is like after dark.
