Jamie Weinstein Senior Writer

George Will thinks Matt Drudge revolutionized journalism, Sarah Palin is an “able spokesman for a strong, powerful and excellent impulse in the American people” and Ted Cruz is “well-grounded in the history and thought of our country” even if he is “not so well-grounded” in the practicalities of politics.

Will evaluated these and other political and media figures during an extensive interview with The Daily Caller on politics, culture and his new book, “A Nice Little Place on the North Side: Wrigley Field at One Hundred.” TheDC will be featuring segments from the interview over the next several weeks.

In this segment of the interview, Will provides his thoughts on Drudge, Palin and Cruz, as well as Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, Ben Carson and Chris Matthews.

Matt Drudge is “someone who pushed out the borders of journalism and showed new ways to get people interested,” Will said of Drudge.

Watch the video to see what he thinks of the other political and media figures.
