Watch how fast a bear can climb a tree in this video uploaded to YouTube Monday by user Jeffrey Moffatt, who was hunting in Alberta, Canada, when he captured the encounter.
The bear approaches his stand and starts sniffing around. Suddenly, it climbs the tree — about 35 seconds in — and pokes its nose right in the camera, still sniffing around, before making its way back down the tree. As it wanders off, another bear is seen walking away.
Moffat then turns the camera on himself and says dramatically, “Holy s**t.”
