Either some guy wearing a Led Zeppelin shirt passed out at a concert and missed the chance to meet John Paul Jones and Dave Grohl, or someone is deliberately confusing the Internet.
John Paul Jones, former bassist and keyboardist of Led Zeppelin, and Dave Grohl, founder of the Foo Fighters and former drummer for Nirvana, took these photos with someone wearing a Led Zeppelin tshirt, who is either a fan or Sam Doyle of Indie rock band The Maccabees.
The photos were uploaded by MuyChingonGuey with the caption: “Knocked out drunk guy misses chance to meet Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones.” Perhaps the photo was taken at a concert by Jones and Grohl’s new band, Them Crooked Vultures.
But Reddit commenter Dusty Blank says the guy in the photo is Sam Doyle, of indie rock band The Maccabees, in which case Jones and Grohl or whoever took the picture are trolling everyone.
The second version of the story is more likely, but the first is way cooler. Decide for yourself, because the Internet is confusing and awesome.
