Casey Kasem’s wife Jean threw raw hamburger meat at her stepdaughter Kerri when Kerri tried to take 82-yea-old Casey to the hospital on Sunday, NBC reports.
Jean claims she was acting according to a Bible verse. “In the name of King David, I threw a piece of raw meat into the street in exchange for my husband to the wild rabid dogs,” she said.
Jean allegedly acted out after a hearing determined that Kerri was to be in charge of her father’s medical care. Jean had removed Casey from a facility in Santa Monica and taken him to Washington in May without telling anyone else in the family.
Kerri claims that her father has bedsores, infections in his bladder and lungs and has problems with dementia, which is why she felt the need to take him to the hospital.
Kerri arrived with ambulances on Sunday but Jean wouldn’t let the paramedics in the house. After they were finally let in to take Casey to the hospital, Jean threw the hamburger meat at Kerri.
Another hearing is scheduled for Friday.
