Tara Reid, starring in Syfy’s “Sharknado 2,” where sharks whip through a waterspout tornado to terrorize New York in a feeding frenzy, revealed to GQ that she thinks a sharknado could actually happen.

“You know, it actually can happen. I mean, the chances of it happening are very rare, but it can happen actually. Which is crazy. Not that it — the chances of it are, like, you know, it’s like probably ‘pigs could fly.’ Like, I don’t think pigs could fly, but actually sharks could be stuck in tornados. There could be a sharknado.”

Her groundbreaking predictions shouldn’t come as much of a shock, after her 2013 Shark Week appearance on the Discovery Channel. Her Great White knowledge was insightful.

“So, I learned a little education on sharks. So I look up sharks on the Internet and I’m, like, ‘whale sharks, so that must be when a whale and a shark have sex.’ Then I think ‘Well, how does a whale and a shark have sex?’ And then I looked it up.”

Reid and Ian Zeiring star again in the sequel, which has a celebrity-riddled cast, featuring Al Roker, Matt Lauer, Kelly Osbourne, Billy Ray Cyrus, Perez Hilton, and a slew of others. The film premieres July 30 on Syfy.
