Matthew McConaughey loves fanny packs, and he’s not ashamed of it.
CSN Houston’s Julia Morales caught up with the Texas actor and his son at a Red Sox-Astros game at Fenway Park over the weekend, and pointed out that he was wearing a fanny pack.
“I’m not afraid of the fanny pack, instead of stuffing your pockets,” he told Morales. “You gotta kinda put it on the side to make it look a little not as nerdy, but still, practicality wins out.”
“I got so much gear in here that I don’t want in my pockets,” he continued. “I’m not afraid of the fanny pack.”
After Morales admits she has a Texas flag fanny pack, he gave her some encouragement. “That sounds cool. That’s the one you wear right?” he asked. “Keep doing it. Keep wearing it. They’ll come back, some decade from now.”
