What are Taylor Swift’s biggest fears? Not becoming a cat lady and getting to grow old next to her felines and Grammys? That people will find out she’s not human and is instead just a porcelain doll? That her peonies won’t make it through the winter?
Nope. None of those practical, Taylor Swift-esque fears. It turns out, Taylor Swift is scared of a couple damn sea urchins, and “getting framed” for murder.
The 24-year-old sat down with Ellen DeGeneres, and told her this insane and irrational theory of hers.
“They’re like a grenade. They’re sitting there waiting to completely injure you to the point where…Okay, so you can’t see a sea urchin if you’re like okay, in the caribbean and you’re like ‘this water is so beautiful, it’s amazing’ and you’re walking its clear water. You can’t see a sea urchin right there and then you step on one and it has barbs and it goes into whatever it touches and then you have to go to an emergency room and it has to be surgically removed. You could lose your foot. You could lose your hand. You could lose your hand trying to get it off of your foot. So, I don’t like sea urchins.”
Which is when Ellen revealed that the only thing that happens if you touch a sea urchin is “they can puncture and injure you and cause swelling and redness.”
This is a sea urchin.
