Madison Bumgarner threw five shutout innings in Game 7 on Wednesday, and in doing so, became the first starting pitcher to win three games in a single World Series since the Big Unit did it in 2001.

Bumgarner got Royals catcher Salvador Perez to pop out in foul territory, and following the on-field celebrations, everyone and their mothers was ready for the 25-year old lefty to be named World Series MVP.

Or, everyone except Chevrolet executive Rikk Wilde, that is.

WATCH:

It seems Wilde was a little unprepared to hand off the hardware. I mean, the guy was reading off notecards and still had trouble spitting out his lines. Even if the Royals had won Game 7, and he had to present the trophy to a different player, IT STILL WOULD HAVE BEEN THE EXACT SAME SPEECH.

Wilde’s biggest slip up came in describing the all-new 2015 Chevy Colorado, which apparently, “ummm… combines class leading and winning technology and stuff” with WiFi capabilities.

Not exactly a great sell, Rikk.

I don’t doubt the Chevrolet Colorado’s technical capabilities, but I do question Chevy’s selection of MVP presenter.

As Chris Carter would say, C’MONNN MAN!
