President Barack Obama expressed his support for the Ferguson protests in a primetime address from Chicago Tuesday night, declaring, “Let’s be constructive.”
“Your president will work with you,” Obama said.
“So my message to those people who are constructively moving forward, trying to mobilize, organize and…I want those folks to know their president is going to work with them.
“Being American doesn’t mean you have to look a certain way,” Obama added in another passage of the speech.
