Los Angeles police were led on a wild pursuit after receiving reports of a suspect driving a stolen BMW Sedan down the 405 Freeway. While attempting to pull the vehicle over, the suspect hightailed it and led police on a car chase, before exiting off the freeway into a more condensed area. The vehicle continued at a high rate of speed down side streets, reaching 90 mph, before slamming into the back of another vehicle in stopped traffic.
The thief then exited the stolen vehicle and took off on his longboard down the sidewalk. He might have gotten away if it wasn’t for a good Samaritan, who blocked the suspect off using his pick-up truck.
The suspect was apprehended immediately without further incident.
