Ben Smith, as in The Daily Caller‘s fall intern, has landed a paid internship at The Daily Signal. That’s The Heritage Foundation’s publication that focuses on conservative policy.
Smith has been at The Daily Caller since September 10. As some may recall, he gave us an intriguing interview. Asked Thursday to name the most pervading thing he learned here, he replied thoughtfully, “The biggest thing I’ve learned is always speak your mind. Um, don’t be afraid to go out there and pursue the story even if it’s extremely controversial.” He said this comes from the “attitude of the office in general.”
In his interview for employment at The Daily Signal, they did laugh about his name, since it mirrors that of BuzzFeed‘s editor-in-chief.
Over the summer, he interned at The American Spectator.
We see only bright things in Ben Smith’s future.
