Mardi Gras Float Mocks Roger Goodell (Again)

New Orleans will be the site of the annual Mardi Gras parade next Tuesday, and as per tradition, one of the floats bashes NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

Goodell has drawn the ire of fans and non-fans alike over the course of the past year, specifically for his handling of the Ray Rice domestic abuse case. In New Orleans, there is little sympathy for Goodell because Saints fans are slow to forget about the penalties imposed on the Saints following the “Bountygate” scandal. Many would agree that Goodell has earned his reputation as a greedy, power-hungry liar.

This year’s float features a larger than life Goodell in referee stripes holding a moneybag with stacks of moola behind him, according to SB Nation. The faux Goodell has a whistle bearing the words “Blow me” around his neck. Something tells me the float’s creators were privy to the double entendre.

This is not the first time that such a float has made an appearance at the Mardis Gras parade. In 2013, the parade boasted a hilarious, albeit rather disturbing and NSFW, depiction of Goodell. The 2013 float presented Goodell as a Frankenstein-like figure holding the Lombardi Trophy while emerging from a giant vagina. “Super Hole” and “XLVAG” graced the float above the Commissioner Frankenstein monstrosity.

I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that the people of New Orleans don’t care much for Roger.
