Two women who were inspired by the Islamic State group have been arrested outside New York City for allegedly attempting to build a bomb.
The suspects, in their 20s and 30s, are supposed to appear in a federal court in Brooklyn, N.Y., later today, sources told ABC News.
ABC’s sources said that the public was never in danger because the women were watched as part of a lengthy undercover FBI operation.
Whew! That means it’s not a problem, then. Never mind.
As with all other completely unrelated incidents of this sort, the motives of suspects Noelle Velentzas and Asia Siddiqui are unknown and unknowable. These things just happen, all on their own.
Now shut up.
