Tom Cruise admitted he was “scared shitless” as he dangled from a jet door in one scene in the upcoming “Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation.”
The five-time “Mission Impossible” actor was at a Paramount Pictures preview event Wednesday, where behind-the-scenes footage of the film aired.
During the aircraft sequence, which he shot a whopping eight times, Cruise clings to the side of an Airbus A400M as it ascends 5,000 feet. The 52-year-old wore a harness and special contact lenses so he could keep his eyes open during strong winds, and while he said the crew did their best work to make sure no birds smacked him in the face while he was up there, but there wasn’t much of a guarantee.
In the shot, the actor gives the crew a thumbs up, but he told the crowd Wednesday that he actually wasn’t so confident.
“I’m actually scared shitless.”
