During Friday’s broadcast of “With All Due Respect,” Bloomberg’s Mark Halperin and John Heilemann gave two thumbs down to Hillary Clinton’s past week as the calendar flips to May.

Though both hosts said Clinton had a “bad week,” the strongest words came from Halperin, who said voters, particularly in Iowa and New Hampshire, “want to hear other voices.” Halperin specifically pointed out Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who announced his 2016 bid Thursday.

“There is a new AP poll today also that suggests people are not excited about her candidacy. And I have to say, tip it into a bad week,” Halperin said. “We talked about this yesterday — Bernie Sanders’ announcement was strong.”

“People are willing to listen to other voices — in Iowa and New Hampshire in particular,” Halperin said. “I think those states are still really perilous for her, particularly Iowa for her, because people want to hear other voices. They don’t just want a coronation. And when she’s got to engage in other voices, she doesn’t do that well.”
