On Tuesday night, the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences hosted it’s annual Sports Emmy Awards show.
Ernie Johnson — the host of TNT’s “Inside The NBA” — bested Bob Costas, Rich Eisen, Keith Olbermann, Stuart Scott and Matt Vasgersian to win the award for Outstanding Sports Personality, Studio Host. During his acceptance speech, he stated that, “there’s only one place [the award] belongs: on the mantel at Stuart Scott’s house.”
Johnson called Stuart’s daughters — Taelor Olivia and Sydni — up to the stage, and the pair graciously accepted the award on behalf of their late father.
