Coming in at a mammoth four inches long, this 18-year-old from Michigan just might have the world’s longest tongue yet.

Adrianne Lewis can easily reach her nose, chin, and elbow. With a little help, she can stretch it out and touch her right eye.

Her parents first noticed their daughter’s tongue’s exceptional length when she was around 10 or 12, and her mother said that she got it from her great-grandfather.

“She would stick it out, touch her nose or her elbow,” her mother said. “And I think she was kind of discovering herself.”

Lewis was bullied in elementary school because of her freaky and elongated appendage, but now she says she is more comfortable with it.

“After I made my video the first day, I already had 250 views, which for most people isn’t very much but to me it was ‘Oh my gosh!'” Lewis said.  “I started making more videos and it was basically about my tongue — I have 814 subscribers on my channel now.”

But there’s one person who isn’t a huge fan: her boyfriend.

“There’s a lot of weird people on the Internet and I’ve seen some comments that are a little uncomfortable,” he said.

“If I could fight the Internet, I would, but there’s not much I can do. Just appreciate the person that’s attached to the tongue, that’s all I have to say.”

Lewis, a Michigan native, is in talks with Guinness World Records. The current record holder measures in at 3.9 inches.
