The Duggar family parents told Fox News host Megyn Kelly in an exclusive interview Wednesday that they believed that the story of their son Josh’s molestation of five girls had received greater backlash in the media because of their Christian faith. KELLY: Do you think that the backlash against the Duggars has been greater because people object to who you are and what you stand for?
MICHELLE: DUGGAR: I think some out there do. [Jim Bob nods]
KELLY: Do you think in particular your Christian beliefs are at issue?
JIM BOB DUGGAR Well I think, as people on the outside think, ‘Well, Christians are supposed to be perfect, you’re supposed to live this perfect life.’ No, you know what? All of us as Christians, we struggle every day.
I mean, it has been an unprecedented attack on our family. And it was actually– this information was released illegally. And so I wonder why all this press isn’t going after the system for releasing his juvenile records. That is a huge story.
