Brothel Owner Protests Austrian Taxes With Exclusive ‘Summer Special’

“Effective Immediately: Free Entrance! Free Drinks! Free Sex!” is one Austrian businessman’s “summer special” advertised on the front page of his brothel’s website.

The brothel’s owner — Hermann ‘Pascha’ Müller — is well known as the “Red-Light District King,” and says that his brothel’s summer offer is to protest what he believes are unfair taxes.

“King” Pascha — a German native based out of Austria where prostitution is legal — says that he is tired of “being the tax office’s pimp,” The Local Austria reports.

“In the last decade I have paid taxes of almost €5 million (approximately $5.6 million),” Müller told The Local Austria. “The problem is, the tax office wants more and more, and they are not cracking down on illegal street and apartment prostitution.”

Pascha will still pay his prostitutes their regular hourly income out of pocket. And since his esteemed brothel is not bringing in money, he will not be liable for taxes.

And it would appear as though no one in Austria is turning down the king’s offer for free sex.

The “summer special…has spread like wildfire, with punters lining up to get inside,” the Kronen Zeitung tabloid reported. Pascha has already been forced to “turn away hundreds of disappointed customers.”

And not only has Pascha found the loophole for paying taxes, but handing out free sex and free drinks has given Pascha’s brothel great publicity — making this king’s tax protest one that will go down in world history.
