HBO comedian Bill Maher did not much care for CBS News reporter Major Garrett questioning President Barack Obama’s Iran deal.
Garrett asked Obama why the release of the four Americans currently imprisoned by Iran was not a condition of the deal, to which the President, who was visibly angry at the question, replied to Garrett that “You should know better.”
While Garrett’s question was one on the minds of many Americans, and one of the few difficult questions President Obama has personally faced in quite some time, it did not sit well with Maher.

Maher wasn’t alone in his criticism of Garrett, though he was alone in using an implied racial slur. CNN’s Dana Bash said, “There’s a fine line between asking a tough question and maybe crossing that line a little bit and being disrespectful, and I think that happened here.”
