Talk about political jiu jitsu. Carly Fiorina has posted a strong response to Donald Trump’s criticism of her “face” on her YouTube page.
“This is the face of the 61-year old woman,” Fiorina says of herself. “I am proud of every year — and every wrinkle.”
“Ladies, look at this face,” she begins. “And look at all your faces — the face of leadership. The face of leadership in our party — the party of women’s suffrage…”
“Ladies,” she continues, “Note to the Democrat Party. We are not a special interest group; we are the majority of the nation.”
The other day I criticized Fiorina for playing the victim card by claiming “sexism,” but I think this is quite different. She’s punching back at Trump — and showing that the “war on women” line certainly won’t work on her. In fact, maybe she’s the one who can inspire young women to make history?
