An American student majoring in fashion design has agreed to pay the British equivalent of $31,857 per month for the most expensive student apartment in London.

The deluxe, fancypants apartment goes for about $7,962 each week, according to The Guardian.

The palatial flat is located in Mayfair in the midst of a block of posh apartments which the landlord is advertising almost exclusively to ultra-wealthy foreign students who attend the London College of Fashion, Westminster University and the London School of Economics.

The three-bedroom, three-floor residence features a fancy glass staircase and bathrooms with stone floors. There is also a 24-hour concierge service.

The real estate agent charged with renting the $31,857-per-month student apartment and similar accommodations in the same recently-renovated mid-rise Fountain House building is Peter Wetherell (who claims to broker Mayfair’s Finest Properties).

The elegant, modern apartments are “perfect for a wealthy student wanting a London home,” Wetherell told The Guardian.

Most of the tenants in the development are mega-rich kids from the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

The surrounding Mayfair district is located in West London. It borders on Hyde Park. The immediate neighborhood is home to several five-star hotels and hedge fund headquarters as well as the U.S. Embassy for the United Kingdom. Exclusive shops abound. The famous auction houses Christies and Sothebys are nearby.

The identity of the American student is unknown. The source of the student’s obviously immense wealth is also unknown.
