Hillary Clinton laughed when an audience member said about Carly Fiorina, “Every time I see her on TV, I want to reach through and strangle her.”
Speaking in New Hampshire on Tuesday, Clinton did not stop or correct the audience member’s inappropriate comment. (RELATED: Hillary Rips Trump For Not Correcting Obama Muslim Question, But Her 2008 Obama Smearing Was Even Worse)
The audience member said, “and she [Carly Fiorina] says she is a great CEO. Every time I see her on TV, I want to reach through and strangle her.”
The crowd and Clinton then roared in laughter.
The audience member continued, “I know that doesn’t sound very nice but–.” Then Clinton interjected, “I wouldn’t mess with you,” and then she continued to laugh some more.
In September, Clinton ripped Donald Trump for not correcting an audience member who, during a period of questions, claimed that President Obama was a Muslim.
In a statement released by the Republican National Committee Press Secretary Allison Moore, the RNC said, “By laughing off a male questioner’s desire to strangle Carly Fiorina, Hillary Clinton and the Democrats have lost all credibility claiming to be a party that stands up for women. Jokes about committing acts of violence against women are always in poor taste and should be condemned every time.”
“Hillary Clinton routinely exhibits the worst kind of hypocrisy on women’s issues, whether it’s launching attacks on equal pay despite paying women less than men in her Senate office or her foundation’s acceptance of millions of dollars from foreign governments that oppress women’s rights. It’s clear women just can’t count on Hillary Clinton to stand up for them. She should apologize immediately.”
