Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin was ejected Thursday night in a game against the Chicago Bulls after he hit Taj Gibson of the Bulls in the face while trying to block a shot.
Griffin was playing tight defense on Gibson in the post when he bit on a pump fake and jumped to block the shot. As Griffin came back down he threw his arm into the face of Gibson, who dropped to the ground in obvious pain. Griffin was immediately ejected from the game. Gibson told the media after the game that Griffin is a “great guy,” and that he made sure Gibson was OK after the hit.
Taj Gibson: “First thing as soon as it happened, he reached down to make sure I was OK. I’ve known Blake for a long time. Great guy.”
