Sen. [crscore]Lindsey Graham[/crscore] says, “The person I admire the most is me. And if you nominated me [to the Supreme Court], I wouldn’t vote for me this year.”

In an interview Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press” with Chuck Todd, Graham said that President Barack Obama should not fill the Supreme Court vacancy left by Antonin Scalia, instead the next president should.

Noting that Graham has voted for two of Obama’s Supreme Court nominees, Todd asked, “What’s wrong with having confirmation hearings?”

“I don’t think it helps. I think we should let the next president decide,” Graham said. “The person I admire the most is me. And if you nominated me, I wouldn’t vote for me this year.”

“If he nominated you, you wouldn’t vote for you,” Todd asked amazed by what Graham had said.

“There you go,” Graham said. “We’ll let the next president see what happens.”
