The 45-year-old singer is scheduled to perform in the Belgian capital this Sunday, but her security team is “strongly against” it after several explosions rocked the Brussels Zaventem International Airport and the Maelbeek Metro Station at the height of rush hour Tuesday, TMZ reports.

Her security is worried that Carey could be a target because she is a famous singer who is engaged to a billionaire, and she may not even be able to fly in if the airport is closed. (RELATED: These Images From The Scene Of The Terrorist Attack In Brussels Are Shocking)

She is reportedly waiting on advice from the U.S. Embassy before they make a decision.
