Hillary Clinton presidential campaign used Twitter Wednesday to tout her “real plan” for defeating ISIS, but her plan actually appears to just be a series of broad goals amounting to little more than “beat ISIS.”

“Hillary has a three-part plan to defeat ISIS in the Middle East, around the world, and here at home,” the tweet says. It then shows a graphic outlining Clinton’s “real plan” for vanquishing the forces of ISIS: “1. Take out ISIS’s stronghold in Iraq and Syria. 2. Dismantle the global terror network. 3. Harden our defenses at home and prevent attacks.”

Many pointed out that this “real plan” contained no details and amounted to little to three different ways of saying “beat ISIS.” The 21-word summary was quickly mocked by other Twitter users.

Clinton’s proposal for defeating ISIS isn’t new. Even when it was unveiled in November 2015, Clinton’s plan was ridiculed for sounding more like a list of goals than a genuine strategy.

While Clinton’s abbreviated version of the plan has attracted mockery, she has occasionally described a more detailed vision for beating ISIS. For instance, she has proposed giving law enforcement the ability to bypass encryption on electronic devices, and has said she would empower Arab and Kurdish militias so they can overrun ISIS territory without requiring a large U.S. troop presence.
