CNN’s Jake Tapper became frustrated while interviewing Trump senior adviser Sarah Huckabee Sanders on his show “The Lead” Tuesday.
Tapper asked Sanders repeatedly about Trump social media director Dan Scavino tweeting a conspiracy video claiming to “prove” Texas Senator [crscore]Ted Cruz[/crscore] had an affair with former staffer and current CNN contributor Amanda Carpenter, but Sanders would not address it.
“Your social media director tweeted out a crazy video suggesting that Amanda Carpenter, who is married with two children, and this married senator, who also has two children, that something untoward was going on. There is no actual evidence that it happened. I mean, at some point aren’t you just ashamed? This is the Trump campaign sending it out,” Tapper asked.
Sanders did not address the question, instead shifting to attacking the Cruz campaign for being “one of the dirtiest, nastiest campaigns out there.”
